Gaviscon Infant Oral Suspension Sachets are specially formulated to help manage reflux and regurgitation in infants and young children. The formula works by gently thickening the stomach contents, helping prevent milk and food from coming back up after feeding. It can help reduce frequent spit-up, vomiting, coughing, and discomfort caused by reflux.The sachets are simple to prepare and can be mixed with cooled boiled water, formula milk, or expressed breast milk. Its sugar-free formula is suitable for daily use when recommended by a healthcare professional.
How to Use :
Bottle-fed infants and children up to 2 years:
- Infants under 4.5 kg: 1 sachet per feed
- Infants over 4.5 kg: 2 sachets per feed
- Mix each sachet into 115 ml of feed in the bottle
- Shake well and feed as normal
Breastfed infants and other infants up to 2 years:
- Mix each sachet with 5 ml (1 teaspoon) of cooled boiled water until a smooth paste forms
- Add another 10 ml (2 teaspoons) of cooled boiled water and mix
- For breastfed infants: give part way through each feed using a spoon or feeding bottle
- For other infants: give at the end of each meal using a spoon or feeding bottle
